Summary

Do you like a book with action and suspense well this is the book for you. This book is about a family that moves to a place called gone away lake and they just bought a half a century year old house. That is filled with really old things and maybe even some treasure. They are on a adventure throughout the book but to find out what happens read the book Return to Gone-Away.

Opinion

I would give return to gone-away a 9/10 because you never know what is going to happen the book is filled with suspense and you just want to keep on reading. I really like it because I loved how porsh and her cousin discover all sorts of things in the Villa Caprice. And how there are so many good rich details in the book that make it more real it makes a movie in your mind.

Opinion

I would rate stargirl a 9 out of 10 because it was really exciting and you never knew what was going to happen. Also it had a lot of detail so it made the story so much clearer. And I liked it because stargirl was so different and you really wanted to know what she was going to go next something normal or not?

Summery: Star girl is about a girl well-named stargirl and she is a very unusual an when she comes to Mica High she is so weird some people think she is a joke. She wares an off white dress so long that it covers star girls shoes, it had ruffles around the neck and cuffs and it looked like it could have been her great grandmothers wedding gown. But every time one boy named Leo Borlock looks at stargirl he begins to like her. But to see what happens to stargirl and Leo read the book Stargirl.

Opinion

I would give Esperanza Rising a 8 out of10 because it is very detailed and is a book that you don't want to stop reading.And i really liked the parts where Esperanza had to take care of the baby's because she had to learn many things.and i liked the part where Miguel took Esperanza's money and brought Esperanza's grandma back because it was a very happy spot in the book.And that is why i like the book Esperanza Rising.

Esperanza Rising

I read the book Esperanza Rising and it is about a girl named Esperanza Ortega and she is living a wonderful life as a rich beautiful girl.when one day her father did not come home from las rancho de la rosas. So people went to look for him but no papa just his belt.Tio Luis asked me to mary him and i immediately said no! Then for my negative answer he got revenge and burnt down our lovely home. The second time he asked I said yes but unfortunately for Tio Luis I had a trick up my sleeve. MIguel, Hortensia, and Alfonso had made plans to go to America for better work, when they told me about this plan I decided to go with them so Tio Luis wuold not do more bad things and so i did not have to marry him. So they left to america and had to live in what esperanza called dirty holes.And they had threw mamas sickness of vally fever. but to see what happens at the end of the story read the book Esperanza Rising to find out.

Opinion

I'm reading the book return to gone away lake. I would rate it a 9 out of ten because it has a lot of detail and you just want to keep on reading it until it is done because it is very interesting and a good grabber for the hole book.And the house they bot it is very cool part to read because there is so many things in the house.

opinion:I would rate the higher power of lucky a 2 out of 10.Because it is just a plain book it is not exciting.there was a couple parts i liked but mostly it was boring.it was boring because it was just the plane story no excitement of funny parts and some things are not very detailed.like there was this part about a snake and they just said (the snake was red black and yellow)when they could have said the snake had red ,yellow ,and black the red was a rich bright shade that you could see from miles away and the yellow was as bright as the sun and the black was a misty it was almost blinding and all the colors were all lined up in stripes.so in the book there could be a lot more detail.

Book review: "The Higher Power of Lucky"

I read the book ""The Higher Power of Lucky" by Susan Patron with illustrations by Matt Phelan, winner of the 2007 Newbery Medal. The book is about a girl named Lucky who is trying to find her higher power which is what Short Sammy calls when he quit drinking and found his higher power. Short Sammy tells stories about his life when he hit rock bottom but then found his higher power. And some of his stories are about when he had drunk a half gallon of rum listening to Johnny Cash all morning in his '62 Cadillac. So now you know about Short Sammy...now you are going to learn about the main character, Lucky. The first thing is that her dad got married and then divorced, and then married again (and had Lucky) and then divorced again. Next, Lucky's Mom died, so the first divorced wife got to keep Lucky. Her name was Brigitte, which is French. So throughout the book you can see Lucky try to find her higher power. Will she find it? You will have the read the book, "The Higher Power of Lucky", to find out.

opinion on Ida B

Ida B is a really good book i would recommend it to allot of people.I liked it because it had allot of creativity and lots of detail.And on a scale of 1-10 i would rate a 9.I LOVED IDA B!!!!!!!!!!

Hi i read the book Ida B by Katherine Hannighan it is about a girl named Ida B Applewood and she loves her life going to the orchard and talking to the trees and the brook,Ida b was also very creative and smart.she is home schooled by her mom and dad.she loved her life until one day when she was talking to the trees and one named Paulie T said"we heard a rumor that something bads headed your way,Ida B.but Ida B did not really believe her because Paulie T was a bad tree.but in a couple of days Ida B's mom started to get cancer and having to go to the hospital over and over again it just kept on getting worse.her mom had lost the glow in here eyes and her hair.things were getting really hard so Ida b had to go to a real school.and the last time Ida b had tried to school things did not go well at all!Ida b hart was torn,it turned from a nice red happy ball into a rock solid ball.that kept on getting harder and harder,especially after her father told her they were going to have to sell some of the land because they needed the money to pat for medications and stuff. so after all read the book Ida b to find out what happens to her in school and what happens to every thing going on in her life.
